THE FAMILY

Tammy is a Space Station Editor for United Space Alliance in Clear Lake, Texas. Tammy enjoys making desserts, and there are lots of gatherings of family and church friends at the Church of Christ to keep her plenty busy baking. Tammy like to read, and sometimes plays computer or video games as a diversion.

Terry is self-employed owner of Scooter Support, a business which sells Electric Scooters and Parts over the internet.

Other interests include photography, carpentry, auto repair, gardening, computing (especially learning all that's new and programming), video and computer games, and all forms of maintenance. Terry used to fly airplanes, having built his own experimental aircraft to fly - a BD-5 single seat retractable gear plane. Not much time for that, or motorcycles. Tennis and golf have been replaced by two boys that Terry likes being with more than anything. But, photography continues to be a source of enjoyment, especially now that Digital Cameras and high quality color printers are cheaper. Have questions about Digital Camersa? Ask Terry.

Adam is now going into the 10th grade. Adam has been very active in the school band, and marching band as a 9th grader. He now is first chair percussion for the high school band. While studying is not his primary interest he makes good grades using his excellent memory.

Jordan is going into the 8th grade. He played clarinet in the top symponic band in the 6th and part of the seventh grade. But has switched also to percussion, like his brother. He is doing quite well. Jordan also makes good grades.

FAMILY FUN

ASTROWORLD - It used to be that we would go to Astroworld and the boys would only ride certain rides (no up-side-down). That changed in 2002 and they want to ride everything now.

CHURCH ACTIVITIES - Our church has moved to a new building recently and we have just hired a new youth minister. The Church of Christ we attend has numerous activities for family and youth. Some Sunday evenings we meet in small groups called Care Groups. These meetings are in homes where we can get to know one another better, and discuss more openingly Bible studies and things concerning our church and fellowship.

FAMILY ACTIVITIES - Our family gets together quite often, so there is always something ongoing. During the Christmas Season will have been gathering for Thanksgiving at my niece's home in Angleton (Manville) due to my mom's health problems. We usually exchange gifts on Christmas Eve there, too. We also have spent a days in Palacious with relatives, but cousin Barry will be moving to Canada soon. In the past we have also vacationed at a meeting points where Tammy's brother and family met us (they live in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area). In 2002 we all went to Astroworld and then to again to Palacios for a family gathering. In 2001 we met at Port Aransas at a condo for a beach vacation. In 1999 we gathered in Palacios. In 1998 we met in New Braunsfels where we rented a Condo for three days, taking in Slitterbaughn and surrounding activities, as well as a float down the Guadalupe River back to our riverside condo. The summer of 1997 we met in Colorado at a mountain top cabin. We enjoyed a wonderful stay, fishing and hiking up the mountain. Then we finished our vacation in Breckenridge and area. A previous summer we spent time at Sea World in San Antonio, a great place to spend time, as well as Austin and New Braunsfels. Mostly we gather at Grandma's or Mimi and Papaw's for holidays and birthdays.
In 2000 our family went to Orlando over the Thanksgiving break to visit Universal Studios theme park and Walt Disney World theme parks.

AROUND TOWN - The Pearland Parks Department provides many activities, including snow (which is very rare in Houston) for the kids to play in, as well as other activities throughout the year. Pearland has a Christmas Parade each year at night in December. The fourth of July parade in Friendswood and local fireworks celebration is usual fare each year. Swimming pools and the Gulf of Mexico (Galveston beach) are easily in reach. Houston has lots to offer with sports, rodeo, Reliant Stadium, Astrodome, shopping, etc. But who has time? Something is always happening. Pearland is now the 8th fastest growing city in the state of Texas with 36,000 and an expect 70,000 withing the next 10 years. We're very happy here.
